Chris Blackwell began his career as a studio session drummer. He played with many name artists, evenutally playing for ex Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant as his drummer for two World Tours, joined from time to time by Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page at gigs such as Knebworth. He co wrote and recorded four platinum selling albums with Robert Plant from which came many worldwide hits including Tie Dye On the Highway, Watching You and the Grammy nominated Calling To You.
Chris then expanded his career in to the world of media composition where he has become a highly respected, prolific writer with his own West London Studio. His advertising credits include multi award winning campaigns for TV and many themes for the BBC. Recently he has broadened his attention to orchestral composition and has written several albums for various music libraries using full orchestra and choir. He wrote and recorded the score to Exit, a 20 minute short that accompanies the boxed DVD set of 24 Series 4 and the score to Veronique, a short film that won the Orange/Film 4 short film competition in 2002.
