Howard Davidson is a prolific composer of music for film, television and the theatre with over three hundred scores to his credit.
Following study of electroacoustic music composition and clarinet at the Royal College of Music Howard pursued a career as a performer with many of the leading orchestras and ensembles in London and Australia.
He subsequently focused his career on composition for film and television and is in great demand for drama and documentary scores. Howard has also composed the music to several theatre productions including plays at the Manchester Royal Exchange, Birmingham Rep., Hampstead Theatre (Director: Richard Wilson - 'Imagine Drowning' by Terry Johnson), Warwick Arts Centre (Director: Maria Aitken - 'Vita and Virginia' by Eileen Atkins), Chichester Festival Theatre (Director: Maria Aitken - 'Easy Virtue' by Noel Coward), The Royal Court, The Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith and Dukes Theatre, West End ('After Mrs Rochester' and 'Madame Bovary' Shared Experience Theatre, Director: Polly Teale) and Duchess Theatre, West End ('Man and Boy'). Music for radio includes five plays for Catherine Bailey Productions, all broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and 4 ('Quartermaine's Terms', 'War with the Newts', 'Japanese Tales', Terre Haute' and 'Laughter in the Dark' which won a Sony Gold Award).
Howard is also Musical Director of the Kosh Dance Theatre Company.
