Daniel Pemberton has now written the music to over 100 TV shows, composing for everything from full orchestra to a kazoo and drum machine. His work covers everything from award winning documentaries such as Hiroshima (BBC 1) and George Orwell: A Life In Pictures (BBC 2), reality shows such as Hells Kitchen (ITV), Edwardian Country House (C4) and Bad Lads Army (ITV) and dramas such as comedy series Peep Show (C4) and the critically acclaimed Born With Two Mothers (C4),starring Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo.
Daniel’s advertising work includes VW, Toyota, Ford, Gucci, Kwik Fit, The Guardian, Zanussi and MTV. He also Djs and music directs fashion shows every season for designers such as Boudicca, Vivienne Westwood, Sophie Kokosalaki and Eley Kishimoto.
His recent epic score for the videogame The Movies, created by legendary designer Peter Molyneux OBE, was named best videogame score in the world 2005 by Gamespy.com.
Alongside music Daniel is an established writer who has penned articles for newspapers such as The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph, magazines such as I-D, Wired and Esquire and fanzines such as The Idler and Shoreditch Twat. He has just completed a book, Devil’s Dandruff Guide To Nightlife (based on the Guardian column of the same name) with co-writer Neil Boorman. He was also one of the three initial investors behind the four time Olivier award winning ‘Jerry Springer: The Opera’.
